Adopt a Husky (long coat)
Odin the Dog needs a home
Everyday...3 times a day...this woman with a heart of gold, would drive by this lonely boy in an outdoor kennel. She could not bear to watch him. She reached out to us because the owner was willing to let her buy him. She wanted so badly to give this boy a chance at the best life he could have and knew the kennel was not for him. Odin is a 1 year old Husky. He needs a family that is active and without young children, but teenagers that could correct him would work fine. Walking and running are not enough for him. He needs a lot of play time with the owner and another dog to satisfy his needs. If not he will pace around like a caged tiger. He likes to play with dog toys like pulling rope, squeaking toys, & chewing bones. He also needs a 6 foot fence because hi energy is so high he could easily clear a 4 foot one. He is a very playful dog and would do best with a dog playmate that has a high energy level and a strong drive to play. He is dominant and uses his teeth often, not to harm, but to show dominant play. He needs a person that can be a strong leader to help shape him into a great dog. He is attentive and will be obedient when given strong direction. He is a small Husky at only 44 pounds, but is very determined and strong for his size. He walks and runs and does not pull if the right collar is on him. While with our foster family he has already shown great signs of improvement. Over time and with obedience training, he will be a super dog. He has been around other dogs, kids but unsure of cats. This boy is in nee of a family who is familiar with the breed and willing to show him what life has to offer. Odin is good with kiddos, but will need a home with older children because he tries to be dominant. If you are interested in committing a lifetime to this boy, please submit an application thru our website www.onedogatatime.us
