Adopt a Border Collie (medium coat)
Donner the Dog needs a home
Donner is dashing with her long, gorgeous coat. In general, she is a very happy dog. She can be silly and playful, but also sweet and engaging. Donner loves being brushed by her caregivers at the Sanctuary. She also enjoys going for long walks where she can sniff and explore everything. She really likes being around the people who care for her, but she also has an independent streak.Born in 2009, Donner had some struggles in her previous home. She is very scared of cars and will not get in them, though she is working on this in Dogtown. She was also very shy and fearful of strangers. Donner does not get along with other dogs (or any other kinds of animals), so she must be the only pet in a home.Since coming to the Sanctuary, Donner has been working with her caregivers and can meet new people much easier now. She loves the people she knows here at the Sanctuary. Her ideal home would be with a person who is home a lot and has a stable environment without a lot of hustle, bustle or change. Daily walks (away from other dogs) and frequent brushing will also be important for her. She'll need to go slowly and build her confidence in a new environment, but she bonds quickly with people once she learns to trust them. Donner has a generous sponsor who will cover her adoption fee.
