Meet sweet Tika.  Tika is an 11 year old mellow terrier mix.  Tika is a friendly gal who enjoys meeting new people and will never say no to a good ear scratch. Tika is very loving and affectionate and loves cuddling and laying next to you on the couch.  She likes to lay at your feet or with her chin rested on your leg, she really thrives with lots of human contact.  Tika gets along okay with other male dogs with a proper introduction, but tends to be territorial with females. Tika would do best as the only dog of house or with another male with similar energy level. Tika loves going out for daily walks, but can be reactive on leash toward other dogs. She is such a people pleaser, she should respond well to training correction to break this habit.  Tika is crate trained and will even go in her crate on her own & will sleep there through the night. Tika is mostly quiet but will alert bark if someone is at the door. She appears to be house trained, though my have  a few accidents as she settles into a new home.  Tika is spayed, microchipped and current on her vaccines.  She just had a dental cleaning with extractions. Her adoption fee is $150 which helps the rescue cover spay/neuters, vaccines, other medical expenses, food & supplies.

All of our dogs are in private volunteer foster homes, and as such these individuals are most qualified to answer any questions regarding the dog.

We do not have a central shelter or kennel locations - you must make a private one-on-one meet and greet appointment with each individual dog at the foster family's convenience.  To protect our foster families' privacy, we must have an APPROVED adoption application on file before we release their contact information.

All of our dogs are fixed (spayed/neutered) and up to date on shots. We have a 2 week foster-to-adopt period to make sure the dog is a fit for your family. Adoption fees vary from dog-to-dog.

Please note that an approved application DOES NOT guarantee that the dog will be placed with you. The final decision rests with our fosters as they know the dogs the best, and please be aware that there may be other applicants interested in the same dog. We continue accepting applications on a dog until the dog is with the new adoptive family in their home.
