Adopt a Shih Tzu / Mixed (medium coat)

Shih Tzu / Mixed (medium coat) Dog

Sheldon the Dog needs a home

Hi Y’all!  I’m Sheldon and although I’m tiny, I sure am mighty.  I’m really settling in with my foster brothers.  My foster mom allows us play chase in the house and has so many toys for us to play with.   Don’t tell my foster mom, but our favorite thing to do is pull out all the toys after she puts them away.

I like to play with my foster brothers, but for only being a year old, I’m a pretty calm pup.  I am really good about chewing on the toys my foster mom bought for us, but I have been caught chewing a power chord or two.  I’m good about stopping when my foster mom tells me to, but you’ll probably have to watch me just in case.

Although I’ve settled in quite well, I was little scared at first.  When I first met my foster brothers, I showed my teeth and growled if they got too close to me.  You can’t blame me though; I was in a new environment and didn’t know them.  I came around pretty quickly.  By the end of the night we were friends.  I’m not too sure how I feel about larger dogs.  I never really warmed up to the larger dog my grand-foster mom had.  I also haven’t been around small children or cats, so I’m not sure what I think about them.

I have had a few potty accidents in the house, but am getting better about using the puppy pads that my foster mom puts down for me or waiting until I go outside.  I don’t get crated that often, but when I do, I’m really good in a crate and don’t have potty accidents in there.  I might need a little work in the potty training area, but I am smart and I am a quick learner.

I have a confession to make.  I get a little scared when my foster mom picks me up and tend to tinkle a little bit.  My foster mom will call me over to the puppy pads and pick me up, this way I don’t get any urine on the floor.  I don’t know if I’ll ever outgrow this, but wanted to be honest about myself.

Let me see, what else is there to say about myself….oh yeah, I’m heartworm negative and my foster mom gives me Heartgard.  I am also neutered.

For now, that is about all there is to say about myself.  I really like my foster family, but can’t wait to have a forever home to call my own.  If you think I’m a great match for you,  please email my foster mom, Catherine.  Her email is [email protected]

Bye for now!

Sheldon

It is against the law in the State of Texas for a rescue not to be sterilized so we have to make sure it gets completed and that we have record of it.
