And now, a few words from me:
Hello there, my name is Jiminie Cricket but my foster mom calls me JC for short. I came from a mass breeding facility and I’m very loving and friendly.
Some of my favourite things to do is snuggle up in a warm blanket, eat, then snuggle up on your lap. I get to sleep in my foster parent’s bed and night and I burrow under the covers and lay against one of them.
My foster parents tell me I have to go outside to do my business, so I follow the other dogs in the household and do what they do. When I’m taken outside, I find it very cold, as I’m so very tiny! I’m as quick as I can be then ask to be picked up so I can soak up your warmth.
My foster mom tells me that she is going to look for a forever home for me where I can get lots of love and have someone around all the time. I can hardly wait for that to happen!
And now, a few words from my foster mom:
JC is an absolute pleasure to have in our home. This little man loves to be with his humans. He follows us around where ever we go. When we are sitting at the table eating dinner, he comes over and sits on our feet. JC is so small, that you hardly notice he is there.
JC is all about keeping warm and the best way he does that is to lay curled up on our laps with his head buried in the crook of our arm. If we take him off our laps to get up, he instantly bounces back– he is like a little magnet! The other day, JC was exploring the toy basket when I sat down on the couch with my legs stretched out. JC trotted over to me and climbed up my legs so he could reach my lap. It was quite funny to see. JC has not figured out toys yet, but you can see by the videos that he is interested in the squeaking noise they make. He kept thinking that it was my fingers that was making that sound!
JC is a very good eater and is fed three times a day. Currently he is on soft food as he only has one remaining tooth (this is why his tongue sticks out the side of his mouth). He is also underweight at the moment, he needs to gain enough weight so he fills out a bit more.
JC is not house or leash trained yet. He will go outside with the other dogs and do his business. He is never far from our side so even though he is not leash trained, we are sure that he will do well. When taken outside, he will have a quick pee and then put this front paws on your leg so he can be picked up. JC’s back legs are a bit weak, but with exercise and a good diet, he will be stronger in no time.
Due to his small size, a home with teenage children is recommended. We have not heard JC bark yet so he would be suitable for an apartment or a detached house with a fully fenced yard. As JC is from a mass breeding facility, a companion dog is a must. Yorkie experience is an asset but not a necessity.
Tiny dogs like JC have special needs and his forever family must be committed to ensuring he has frequent feedings of good quality food, warmth and most of all, safety! Someone who is home most of the day would benefit JC greatly.
If you think JC is the dog for you, put in an application right away as this tiny fellow won’t be available for long.
