Alphie 28094 the Dog needs a home

UPDATE:  A foster has been found for Alphie and he will begin heart worm treatments soon.  Alphie is an 1-year-old male Terrier mix who has already been neutered. His medium length coat is black with brown markings.  Alphie currently weighs 20 pounds and will not get any bigger.  He is a handsome boy who came to PAHS as a stray and his owner never came looking for him.  Alphie is playful and active.  He would be good with children and he seems to get along best with female dogs.  "Special Needs" has been indicated on his bio because he has screened heart worm positive.  We need a foster to step up and offer to foster Alphie during his heart worm treatments which will last about 4 to 6 weeks.  PAHS will pay for the treatments and provide you with a crate, food, bed, everything you will need for Alphie.  During this time Alphie must be crated with very limited activity.  He will need to be leash walked to go out to go to the bathroom; and he must be kept crated the rest of the time.  If you are willing to foster little Alphie please call PAHS at 334-358-2882 and ask to speak to Shelter Director, Claudia Rigsby.  Phones are answered between 11:00 and 4:00, Monday through Saturday.  Alphie is a great little guy who just needs some help and we hope someone will offer to foster him soon.


Dogs and puppies may be adopted for a fee of $120.  All cats and kittens may be adopted for $50.  Our adoption fees cover a microchip, microchip registration, discounted spay/neuter certificate, deworming, vaccinations (as age and law requires), and a courtesy vet exam at participating offices.   Unless otherwise indicated under "special needs" our dogs have screened heartworm negative.
