Hi! My name is Mia. I’m a 7-year-old, 38 pound, loving and spunky pooch in need of a new home. My owners love me to pieces, but have an active 2 ½ year old and another baby on the way. They’re not able to give me the attention I need and are looking for m new forever home. I love absolutely EVERYONE!! I have epilepsy (as I explain more below). I’m often excitable when people come over, but I’m pretty relaxed and chill with just family. I calm down quickly in my crate. I love belly rubs, walks, fetch, and running around my backyard. I like other dogs and do well with children.
I have had epilepsy for 6 years. I take medicine twice daily at meal times and am on Phenobarbital, Zonisamide, and Potassium Bromide. I average two grand mal seizures a month, but it varies greatly.
I’m a very smart dog and will do anything for a treat I do best with someone who is consistent. I know all my basic commands (come, sit, stay down, etc.), as well as many fun tricks (roll over, sit pretty, play dead, clean up my toys, recycle a box/carton, etc.). I come with all of my belongings including medication, Taste of the wild food, toys, beds, my crate, leashes, etc. I’m super sweet and spunky and can’t wait to find a wonderful new home!!
If you or someone you know may be interested in taking in Mia, please call Emily at (585) 406-1120. Thanks!!
