Adopt a Labrador Retriever / Pointer / Mixed (short coat)
Anna Lizman the Dog needs a home
Meet Anna, a beautiful Lab/Pointer mix who came from a very bad hoarding case of 21 dogs. She has come a long way in her loving foster home but she is still a scared pup who needs a special adopter who is willing to look past her timidness to see the goofy girl within.
Here's what her foster mom has to say about Anna:
Anna is very gentle and loves to cuddle. I really can't emphasize enough how goofy Anna is, from falling off the couch unexpectedly to running around the backyard in circles by herself. She gets along great with my two dogs and actually really loves my younger dog and they cuddle and play all day. She can also be independent and doesn't mind being by herself. She loves hanging out in the backyard all day and is hard to get in sometimes.
Anna is crate trained as soon as you say Anna crate she walks right in with no trouble. She would need some other basic training but for the most part she goes to the bathroom outside.
Anna's other big thing is water. I have never met a dog who loves water more. I live on a lake and on he weekends the water is really choppy from all the boats but it doesn't stop her - she just loves the water and being dunked under by the waves.
Overall she is a dog with a lot of character and I'm willing to work with any family who would be willing to adopt her. She needs a specific family who likes to exercise and realize her hoarding situation has caused her to have some serious trust issues. I believe she should go to a family with middle to older kids but she has shown no sign of trying to hurt someone.
