Adopt a Pug / Beagle / Mixed (medium coat)

Joey Joey Joey - what a face!  Joey is a 8 year old owner surrender.  He was surrendered because his mom passed away and his dad was no longer able to care for him.  We aren’t sure about Joeys beginning in life but his last family seemed to love him a lot!  He is a pug/beagle mix, about 25 pounds. 

Joey is a really good boy.  He is housebroken but please expect accidents with the transition to a new home.  Joey is very sweet and is generally a calm dog who just likes to be by your side.  He is very loyal and loving.  His favorite things to do are lay on the couch all Snuggled in blankets and car rides!  He loves to ride in the car!!  He also likes to go for walks but he does pull because he’s so excited.  He doesn’t bother with other dogs and would prefer to be with calm dogs like himself or would be just as happy as an only dog.  He was surrendered with a head tilt which was said to be from “old age” .  We did have a medical workup done including X-rays and they cannot find anything wrong.  We think the head tilt makes him all the more adorable.  We would prefer to place him with an older kid or adult only home just because he doesn’t like a lot of commotion.  Also, with the head tilt his perception is a little off so he can be startled easily with a young child or active dog.  He hates the crate and his foster mom tried very hard to crate train him and it just didn’t happen.  He is just fine behind a gate or laying on the couch waiting for you to come home. Joey is very easy to get along with and very eager to please. He follows your lead and listens very well.  If you are looking for a little buddy to pal around with and don’t want to be bothered with all the puppy antics Joey is your boy. 

Joey is neutered, up to date with vaccines, microchipped, tested neg for heartworm.  His adoption fee is $275 - please apply on our website if you are interested!
