Mateo the Cat needs a home

Mateo is very shy at first, but if you take the time and go slowly, he enjoys being petted. Once he gets to know you, he'll even meow for attention. But he'll run away from any fast movements. He's even shy with other cats, but he's made a couple of friends since coming here to the Sanctuary. He was born around 2008 and came here when his person could no longer care for him. Mateo is a very sweet cat who would do well in a home with only a few other cats and patient people who would love to give him attention as he's ready to accept it.
