Cora was listed as a heart worm positive, pregnant, mangy, Boston mix at a kill shelter in Atlanta. When Rescue Ranch (a Boston Terrier rescue organization) arrived, they realized she wasn’t a Boston at all. Cora is a ridiculously short legged “pocket pit”. She also wasn’t mangy, those were burns on her side. Somehow 3 stripes had been burned into her fur over her ribs. She also wasn’t pregnant. She was actually heart worm positive, but has undergone heart worm treatment and is now heart worm free! The fur on her side has also grown back. And she’s been spayed so being pregnant is never something she will worry about again.
Due to the fact she is a pocket pit bull, Cora is overlooked in a Boston Terrier Rescue. Cora also needs to be an only dog as she was never socialized. We have been working with a trainer with Cora and other dogs, but she would be happiest in an only dog home which also makes her harder to place.
Cora is goofy. She’s smiley, happy & very affectionate with all people. She walks very well on a leash. She likes to chase toys in the yard, but has no idea she’s supposed to bring them back. She has the most adorable 4 inch legs. She is looking for an only dog home. If her home has children, they should be sturdy, as she’s prone to want to be as close to you as possible, which sometimes makes her a tripping hazard.
As a special incentive, a Cora supporter has offered to donate $100 to any nonprofit chosen by Cora’s forever family!
