Adopt a Pit Bull Terrier (short coat)

Pit Bull Terrier (short coat) Dog

Charlotte the Dog needs a home

Charlotte was found by our Vice President running across the freeway. She almost got hit by two cars speeding past her so our VP had to stop and help her. After every attempt at finding her owners no one came forward to claim her. So it was decided that instead of taking her to the local high kill shelter where she would most likely get put down, she would keep her and make her an honorary pom. Two weeks after finding her, Charlotte had two puppies, Phil and Lil. She is very sweet, cuddly, and affectionate. Charlotte can be a little protective of the house and yard and will bark at people and pets that go by, but will calm down once she meets them. She is even known to give new friends kisses. She has been great with the poms in her house, did fine with the large dogs she met at the animal hospital her foster mom works at, but has barked at her neighbors large dogs . It may be she’s being protective of her babies as they are still with her waiting to get fixed to find homes of their own. She has no food or toy aggression and is super intelligent. She knows stay, come, sit and drop. She is also crate trained, although she does very well running around the house while her foster parents are gone. She is completely housetrained and leash trained, although she does pull some when first starting out due to excitement.
