Andy will lay on the couch next to us, but when people are up moving about, he prefers to be somewhere safe. He will hang out in his kennel without coaxing and does come out to visit when everyone is sitting. He prefers to eat when no one is looking at him. He will run and hide in his kennel when there is too much activity going on. He does enjoy having pig ear pieces to chew on, and knuckle bones. He hasn't shown any interest in toys as of yet. Hoping this weekend he will be more comfortable and playful. He acts the same with kids, men, and women.
