Raising a puppy requires a lot of work and is a commitment! Tallie will be an awesome addition to a family that can give her the attention, exercise, training and affection she deserves.

Due to the fact that this is a mixed breed puppy, we, nor our vets, cannot guarantee the size that your dog will be.

Health: Tallie has been spayed and microchipped. She is current on her DHPP, Bordetella, and if 4 months or older, Rabies. She has been wormed, flea treated, and if 6 months or older tested negative for heartworm.

History: Tallie comes from an overcrowded shelter in California. PUP was asked to help and we are so glad we did. All dogs PUP pulls from California come with health certificates, as required by Washington state.

Notes from Tallie's Foster Home:

Tallie is a sweet and sensitive 8 month old Australian Cattle Dog mix (blue heeler). She is doing great in her foster home where she is living with another heeler. Has been introduced to medium and large dogs and plays very well with them. She also loves to play with squeaky stuffed toys and tennis balls. She is very active with a high energy level but once the energy is released will quickly become a couch potato. Tallie is house trained and will let you know when she needs to go out. She is a velcro dog who loves to be with you and will follow you around the house. Sleeps quietly in her crate all night and will take naps during the day. She is very excited to meet new people and will jump up softly looking for affection. But will quickly get down when told to. She is very smart and quickly learned sit, shake and lay down. Walks great on a leash and looks forward to adventures. Her foster home is on property with a long driveway and she will bark to announce a visitor. Tallie has a very strong herding instinct and nervously wants to push/ lunge when she is first introduced to new things. But after initial introduction that behavior disappears. She responds very well to positive reinforcement and will excel with someone who has herding breed experience. Like a true cattle dog she has a strong desire to work and would love constant adventures. She is very athletic would probably totally rock agility or flyball.

Note: The above description reflects the behavior we have observed in the dog's foster home. Although PUP provides adopters up to the minute information on our dogs, we cannot guarantee they will behave in the same manner in a different environment with new owners.
