Adopt a Shetland Sheepdog Sheltie (short coat)

Shetland Sheepdog Sheltie (short coat) Dog

Sydney the Dog needs a home

SCSR is proud to introduce Sydney.  She is a playful 9-years-young shaded sable and white female. Sydney is a sweet soul and a happy girl.  After having 15 teeth extracted, she is now in excellent health and up to date on all vaccinations.  Sydney is being fostered in a female-only home. With that in mind, she is VERY slow to make up to new people.  She has not had any exposure to men, cats or kids. She is very noise sensitive.  She has bonded with her foster mom and loves to cuddle.  Sydney is very food motivated, which will help her with her forever family.  She loves going on walks.  Sydney is considered house trained and crate trained.  This little lady loves to be outside enjoying the freedom to stretch her legs, roll in the grass and feel fresh air on her face.  Sydney is not a hyper, yappy dog.  In fact, she is laid back and rarely barks.  We feel she would thrive in a home with another dog.  She has been exposed to other Shelties, Aussies and Goldens.  Because of her noise sensitivity, a quiet home is preferred vs. a family with young children.  She constantly has one ear at attention and the other relaxed.  Sydney entertains herself by barking at her own reflection in the glass fireplace doors and she loves her bones and bully sticks.  A fenced yard is an absolute requirement.  No exceptions.
