PONGO-Sweet active boy the Dog needs a home
Pongo is such a sweet, beautiful boy! This darling boy is barely a year old and weighs about 75lbs. He is gentle and easy going with humans, sitting politely for his treat or laying at your feet while you work at your desk. He can sometimes become a bit too excited when he meets new people so he will jump occasionally, but he’s SO smart... he’s learning very quickly that he’s too big for this type of greeting! Pongo loves his people and just wants to be near them so he does have a bit of separation anxiety... it’s understandable though, becasue he has been in a boarding facility for more than 4 MONTHS! We’ve been able to step in to help this boy by placing him in a foster home that allows him to run the yard and stretch those longs legs, and that he’s going to have lots of the attention and love he craves. He has not been socialized with other dogs so although he’s quickly learning that other dogs might be walking down the street, he is not in danger so does not need to get so excited! He needs a person that will commit to helping him excel in his training and give will give him lots of attention and excercise. Running, jogging and hiking would be ideal! Children over 10yrs old is the home would be fine, but no other animals is best. He MUST have a 6ft or taller, securely fenced backyard and until he learns that he’s finally found a home, he should not be left alone for more than a few hours at a time.
