I have an almost 4 year old German Shepherd named Riley. Our lives have changed substantially in the past year and I can no longer give him the time, attention and care that he needs and I don't know where to turn. I want to find him a new family and home that knows and can handle this breed. He is a wonderful dog and we absolutely want what's best for him and we are no longer it. He will need a little bit of retraining as he has fallen into some bad habits in the past year, namely jumping and barking but he was always able to pick up his training in a heartbeat and was so eager to please. He had extensive training at Dogs by Andy in Mooresville, NC but like I said, he will need someone to work with him. He was always good with dogs and is good with my two boys, 8 and 2, though he is quite rambunctious which can sometimes be scary to the little one. He is not good with cats though. Never hurt one but does tend to chase. He is not being abused but I can't give home more than the basics of food and shelter anymore. We love him and will be devastated but this is for the best, for him. I am really hoping you all can help me find him the perfect home. The family we consider must be experienced with German Shepherds and have the time and patience to take care of a playful and full of energy dog.
