Charlie is a male golden retriever mix who was found as a stray on January 14 near the corner of Central and Bear Valley Rd in Apple Valley. Because of how matted Charlie was, it was hard to tell his gender at first, but we know now that he's a boy! 


Charlie has been very friendly and well behaved, and has been gentle with small children and little dogs. He hasn't been a big barker and knows how to walk on a leash. 


We see other Golden Retrievers - pure and mixed - on petharbor.com at the following shelters:  Barstow, Hesperia, Lancaster.  Will update this resource as we see more out there!


And look at Queso on B&B's site for a really delicious guy - in looks, personality ++++  Lucky boy who was looked after by Palmdale shelter and many volunteers and is under vet care at B&B for the next month.  Hopefully then ready for his own home.

For further info on the adoption process, please visit our home page and check out the "Adopt a Dog" section where very thorough instructions await.  All our dogs are spayed/neutered, micorchipped, and

 fully vaccinated before adoption; they have been wormed, bathed, socialized, walked daily and much loved; each adoptee leaves with a leash, collar, and all medical records.  




The beauty of coming to our Apple Valley sanctuary is that you can see all 90+ dogs!  

No more weekend mobiles—only special events. Maybe if there are enuff appointments, we could see you in 

El Monte or Orange County or nearby. Email your application and ask for more details!
