  • Rio is a young Boxer/Rottweiler mix with a bouncy, spunky personality to match






  • Very playful, affectionate, and goofy






  • Enjoys running around acting silly with his rescue friends 






  • Loves going on walks and sniffing through the grass






  • Has lots of energy but enjoys relaxing and lounging too






  • Does have an air of independence and likes his time to himself 






  • Can be stubborn at times so he'll need a leader that will set good boundaries and rules to make sure he stays on his best behavior 






  • Rio is working with a trainer on learning how to share and give up things that he has, such as toys and bones 






  • Rio has some food aggression and resource guarding






  • His behavior is manageable and the rescue will provide all the necessary tools and training to potential adopters






  • Rio's adopters will be required to participate in obedience classes to help them bond and help him see the family as a pack that leads him to success 






  • Rio likes children but shouldn't live with children, only mature young adults
