Matt the Dog needs a home
A HANDSOME OLDER GUY: 10 years old / 15 lbs. Mostly Mutts adoption facility is open Mon-Sat. 11-4pm. Some of us are in foster homes so please call 770-272-6888 1st to find out if I’m available to meet during the week. I’m a nice older guy who loves going for walks and enjoys a good belly rub once I know you well! I’m a little apprehensive initially but have come out of my shell in my foster home as they are taking great care of me and I feel their love for me! There are times that I’m uncomfortable with some people, perhaps they scare me, I’m not real sure, but I’ll give a little growl or show my teeth a bit, so you’ll know to give me extra time to get to know you. But mostly, I’m a friendly guy who comes when called and enjoys your company. Since, I have a temperamental side I’ve bitten over being groomed and restrained, so ask about that so it can be prevented. I have dry eyes, so I’ll need eye drops twice a day and my foster mom can help you with how to do them without restraining me, rather with treats and encouragement. I have liked the other dogs and cats in my foster home, and it could be nice to have a buddy in my new home, so let’s meet! My potty manners have been very good in my foster home, and I’ll do my best to be a good boy in your home too. I don’t like being picked up by new people, though my foster mom can pick me up now that I feel more comfortable and secure with her. A home without kids will be best for me since I have that temperamental side and may snap at them if they do something I don’t like. A low-key and calm type environment would be wonderful, perhaps with you! Energy level: 3-5. I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped, neutered and my adoption fee is $100.00.
