American Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed (short coat) Dog

Marshall the Dog needs a home

Marshall was at one time a stray in a San Antonio area shelter. He had been starved and shot. He was brought to Dallas to recover where his rescuers was discovered Marshall is… essentially a huge “Marshmallow”. He is quite literally one of the sweetest boys. Not only quiet in demeanor, but clearly a gentle soul.

He healed inside and out and was adopted to a wonderful family. Sadly their circumstances changed 2 years later and Marshall came back to his original foster. This big guy ADORES children. His family had 3 children in their ‘tweens to teens’ and he loved them endlessly. He is happiest with his people and loves to go on walks, hikes, to the lake, camping on family trips.

Marshall’s manners are impeccable, he is fully house trained and crate trained (does great left uncrated while his foster is at work), and gets along with other dogs and even most cats. Great riding shotgun in the car. When he is happy he “talks” and dances to express his excitement. In short, Marshall is truly a gem, just in need of a family (with children, please!) to love, in order to complete his world once again.

If you feel your home might be the right place for such a great dog - the place to start is with the adoption application found at www.dfwrescueme.org/adopt. Once submitted, the foster will contact you promptly to tell you more and to arrange a time to meet!

The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $250.00, which includes their vaccinations and spay/neuter.

Marshall is participating in the DFW Rescue Me Guest Dog Program, so ongoing care and custody are provided by their foster, not by DFWRM.
