Adopt a Labrador Retriever / Terrier / Mixed

Honey Bunny is a sweet, innocent and energetic dog, its hard to believe she had a birth defect that made her a tripawd. While she was originally used as a breeding dog, clearly this beautiful girl was meant to be a family dog. She absolutely loves ALL people! She is by no means a special needs dog. Being a tripod does not slow her down - she can run faster than her 4-legged foster canine sister! Over the last few months of fostering Honey Bunny, she has grown so much. She is crate trained - she stays in her crate during the day when we are out at work and sleeps through the night. She crates herself willingly as soon as she knows she is being fed or given a treat. She would do great with more training and has already learnt commands like sit, place/bed, come, no and more recently she is learning leave it. She is very food motivated and learns fast. Honey Bunny is new to walking on leash and can be a bit stubborn, so she would do best with an adopter that will work with her on training. She is a high energy dog but also knows when to calm down. She would love room to run and play. She is also a big snuggler! Honey Bunny loves dogs but should be fed and given toys separately. We avoid giving her high-value treats as she tends to swallow them whole. She is sometimes possessive about her toys around her humans but is quickly learning how to leave the toy with the leave it command. Since she is a bit jumpy, Honey Bunny may be better for older or dog-savvy kids. Honey Bunny is such a bundle of joy and has the most happy and innocent eyes. Be prepared to fall head over heels in love with her!
