Hello! My name is Dexter. Shelter staff estimated me to be about 1-2 years old. I was taken in by a kind woman when I was outside begging for food and shelter. She took me to the vet where they neutered me, gave me my vaccines and flea/worming preventative treatments, and microchipped me. I got a clean bill of health and am now looking for a quiet loving forever home where I will never have to worry about being abandoned outside again! My rescuer cannot keep me as her resident cat will not allow me to stay.


I am a dapper fellow with a black tuxedo and white bib and booties. I *love* to be petted and brushed! I love it so much I will lean into your hand and arm for more and give you gentle head butts to your chin. I I will make plenty of biscuits for you while purring if you talk to me gently. I have excellent litter box manners. I will be a forever grateful companion if you give me a chance!


I don't know how I would be with other cats, so for now, I think I'd do best with a calm friendly cat.
