Amaryllis the Dog needs a home
Amaryllis originally came from a hoarding situation in Lyons Georgia and was rescued by an out of state husky rescue who also took her 6 week old puppies. Amaryllis was left in foster in Georgia and she became extremely ill yesterday with excessive vomiting and a hard stomach. She was taken to the vet where they figured out she has a blockage and needs emergency surgery. The out of state rescue agreed to rescue both the puppies and Mama but when they
realized she needed EXPENSIVE SURGERY and could not help her, a volunteer called us. As soon as we heard about her situation we stepped in to give her the medical treatment she deserves. She is on her way to the UGA vet clinic as we speak she needs emergency surgery for an obstruction which will probably cost 3 to $4000. While we were not anticipating this kind of bill we couldn't leave her to die after giving birth recently. As a rescue it's our responsibility to only take in as many dogs as we can fully care for medically, financially, and physically. Please help us save Amarillys after she's been let down repeatedly.
