Potato the Dog needs a home
This little ‘spud’ is the sweetest young boy! Potato, or Tate, a 45 pound, ten-month-old Dutch Shepherd mix, was kept in a backyard with his mom and siblings until people he trusted surrendered them to the Mesquite shelter. Because of this, he is a shy guy who is learning to trust people again. He tends to be more comfortable with men, but is working on trusting women. Despite his rough past, Potato has a sweet nature, wants to please and loves snuggling and affection. He is a quiet guy who is light of foot and doesn’t bark much. Though he is initially wary of people, Potato is starting to warm up more quickly. The best situation for Potato is a home with at least one male. Potato is up-to-date on his shots, microchipped, and neutered. He is crate trained, house trained, and good with dogs of all ages and sizes. This strikingly handsome boy is just waiting for his forever family to eye him!
