FEB 8, 2018:
Kurma is a DSH, tortoiseshell, spayed female, and is 10 years old.
Kurma is a sweet senior cat with a beautiful tortoiseshell coat. “Kurma” is the goddess of tortoises, or maybe tortoiseshells, in this case. Kurma came to us as a stray along with her friend, Henry Cat. She was not well at the time. She had a bladder infection and a large cyst on her back between her shoulder blades. Kurma has finished the medicines for her infection and has now just had surgery to remove the recurring lump on her back. She is rather humiliated to have to wear the “cone of shame,” but she is still as sweet as ever. What Kurma wants most is to find a loving home where she will be treated like royalty for the rest of her life.
Kurma’s various medical expenses have cost several hundred dollars. She would like to remind people that donations to the Help To Heal Fund make it possible for our shelter to provide the special care that our animals sometimes require.
Kurma says, “ If I pose for the camera with a cone on my head, would you consider donating to Help To Heal? Thank you for helping me feel better.”
NOTE: All animals are spayed/neutered as soon as practical after arriving at our facility unless there is a medical issue that may cause a delay or they are too young to be spayed/neutered.
