Dorothy the Dog needs a home
Dorothy is a young Pitbull mix that came from the Hurricane Harvey rescue. She was extremely skinny upon her arrival and is slowly putting on weight. Dorothy is learning how to walk nicely on a leash, to stay in her bed, and to come when called away from distractions. She is also doing well on basic house manners. She likes the comfort of her crate and is house trained. She is a somewhat sensitive girl and, at times, can be somewhat skittish. Dorothy is extremely toy and food driven; therefore, we have been using these things to teach her new skills. She is learning to play nicely with others (meaning she is fine with other dogs who are friendly. but is also happy to get into a tussle with dogs who think they should be boss!). We recommend Dorothy go to a family that understands the breed and the obligation of a having a well-mannered dog.
