Gus - Shy Senior Lab the Dog needs a home
Meet Gus! Gus was found cold, skinny and alone in a parking lot. He looked like he had been on the run for a quite some time. We are not sure if he was dumped or somehow separated from his owner, but all attempts at finding his owner failed. Now Gus needs a loving home to lie down his weary head.
Gus is just under 8 years old and a lab mix. His foster has lovingly fattened him up and he is now healthy and doing well. Gus is a shy boy and it takes him some time to warm up to people. He likes to watch what is going on from a distance and enjoys sleeping in his warm bed or on a corner of the couch. He likes being petted but is unsure at first. Once he trusts you, he is happy with some nice ear scratches or back rubs.
He gets along well with other dogs but not with cats.
We think he will do best in a home without children or lots of coming and going. Gus likes things quiet and predictable. He also needs proper introduction to new people and we can provide you tips and as long as you follow them to a T, all will be well!
We'd love to see this lost boy in a home once again.
