Levi the Dog needs a home
In search of the perfect forever home! Levi is a 1-2 year old handsome dude who weighs approximately 40lbs. A goofball at heart, Levi is a true blue cattle dog.
Levi is medium-high energy and always up for adventures. He loves hiking, running in the yard, and toys. He gets along well with his foster siblings and is always provoking them to play and a notorious toy stealer/hoarder. He would love a playful canine sibling but he would not be well suited to a home with senior dogs or dogs that do not like to play. Levi enjoys our training sessions and has excellent house manners. Sleeps all night and has never had an accident. He can be left uncrated in a spare room if his exercise requirements are met. He has lived previously with cats with no issues but they should be dog savy (and fast in my opinion).
Like any cattle dog, Levi has a HIGH herding drive that will extend to everyone and everything in the house including you! He has no problem voicing his opinion about not being allowed to do whatever he wants aka STUBBORN. Levi will need a leader with cattle dog experience strongly preferred. He takes a while to warm up to new people and will take lots of training to accept visitors to the home. A one to two person home with no kids would work best for this under socialized guy. Because of his herding drive he will also need a securely fenced in yard.
Levi can be both a welcome addition and a challenge. But often times the best dogs are just that.
