Sparrow the Dog needs a home
Sparrow is the most handsome boy! He is a 2 year old Heeler mix who comes into rescue from Texas. Sparrows story is a very sad one and it is one that hits so hard because of how truly good natured and loving this boy is. Sparrow was found by a Good Samaritan wandering the streets with a hacked off leg, hobbling in unimaginable pain yet still friendly, sweet, and affectionate. His leg is very infected, swollen 10 times it’s normal size, and you can tell this injury is old...god only knows how long this poor boy had been living in this nightmare. Sparrow went immediately to our Texas vet partner where we stabilized him and since his leg was beyond repair it required amputation. The surgery went very well but now Sparrow will need to spend some time getting used to life without his leg...it seems as though he was somehow still using his stump for support. We have no doubts that Sparrow will once again rise above this affliction and will soon be running around happy and pain free! All he needs now is an amazing family to fall in love with him and give him a home to call his own. Sparrow is sure to bring a lifetime of joy to his special someone! He is really great with people of all ages and other dogs! He will be neutered and up to date on vaccines prior to placement in his forever home. He can’t wait to experience all the good things in life that he has never had and be spoiled and pampered from here on out!
