Tootsie the Dog needs a home
Tootsie will need a very special adopter as she is a special girl. Please read the whole post!
Tootsie was born at the shelter over 6 years ago and has not known another life. Because of this she can be extremely anxious and scared. She has been making great progress in her foster home, but it will take time to adjust to a new life. Tootsie has been adopted twice before and been returned both times due to her anxiousness. She will need a calm, quiet and patient home. Her adopter needs to know it might be long road to settle Tootsie in, but well worth it! Tootsie will need to be crated in her new home as it is where she feels the safest. Preferably a female primary caretaker. No small children. No young or energetic pets, a calm older dog with low energy is ok! Tootsie loves belly rubs and will roll over for one all the time. She is a shadow to her person and is content to lay and sleep at your feet. Tootsie is in the process of housetraining and is doing well!
