Happy the Cat needs a home
Happy is a most handsome young male cat looking for a person (or persons) to call his own. Happy is a generally mellow and affectionate cat. He loves being groomed and will rub up against his human for more and more attention. Although likely not purebred, Happy has some of the distinctive markings and traits of a Turkish Van with his caramel markings, fluffy tail, and rabbit-fur-like coat. Happy loves to stretch his lanky limbs and drip off furniture head first.
Happy turned up on the campus of an East Oakland school where he was well-cared for by some cat-friendly staff. Happy has adjusted well to life indoors. He has forged a good relationship with two co-foster cats of about the same age (1-2 years). They play, wrestle, and enjoy keeping an eye on the neighborhood from various windows. Happy would be a great companion to a human who is home a lot (perhaps someone retired or working at home) because he enjoys being nearby. We would not recommend Happy for a home with small children as he is independent and a tad bit feisty. He would also do well with a cat companion of similar age and could probably co-exist with a calm dog. We estimate Happy was born August 1, 2016. Bio# 3875 KB
