LaRue and her three 10 month old puppies were left to fend for themselves after their elderly owner fell and was unable to care for them. A neighbor saved the dogs and contacted rescue. This was almost two years ago! Two of the pups were adopted but her third pup Travis was too scared and shy to leave his mom. These sweet dogs are still in a foster home waiting for their special forever. They are bonded and we are trying very hard to find them a home together. LaRue enjoys snuggling with her foster parents and even Travis has begun to seek their affection. Travis is about 2.5 yrs old (DOB~6/14) and is a solid 22 pounds. He looks mostly Jack Russell Terrier and Beagle while LaRue is a petite 16 pound long bodied beagle mix. She may have some dachshund in her. LaRue is just turning 6 yrs old this spring. Both dogs get along well with other dogs. A fenced yard is a must for this girl with her beagle nose....
Travis and LaRue were transported to New England for adoption from TN. The adoption donation is $500 for the pair which will help to cover their vetting and transport north.
*Unless stated otherwise, all dogs will be spayed or neutered, on flea/tick product and Heart Worm prevention medicine (if older than 5 months) and micro chipped prior to adoption. Please note that while we do our best to accurately state the breed or breed mix of a dog, we often have very limited information to draw from. Identifying the breed without pedigrees and information on heritage can be very challenging!
