Adopt a Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler / Border Collie / Mixed (medium coat)
Bandit-PENDING the Dog needs a home
To be considered for adopting a dog from Canine Lifeline, you must have an approved application must be on file. Please visit http://www.caninelifeline.org/adoption-process/ for more information about our adoption process and to submit an online application.
BANDIT HAS AN ADOPTION PENDING. Bandit is a good-looking 1 year-old Cattledog mix male with very pretty markings. He was surrendered to a county dog shelter by his family who said that he didn’t get along with their cats. We did introduce him to kitties at the vet clinic and he seemed to be indifferent to them but it will be best for him to be in a kitty-free home. Bandit does get along well with other dogs but can play rough so will need a canine pal who can match his style of play. He would likely do best with a female dog rather than another male. Bandit is super-friendly with people although he may be a little more reserved at first meeting men. He’s a smart dog who picks up new routines very quickly. He would benefit from obedience training with his new family to keep him well-socialized and to hone his canine good citizen skills. Bandit has had excellent crate manners in his foster home and may be housetrained too although we can’t guarantee it. He is not a couch potato and is going to need an active owner who has the time to give him plenty of exercise and mental stimulation. Bandit weighs about 36 pounds and his adoption fee is $250. He’s neutered, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea preventative, and microchipped. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email [email protected] if you’re interested in Bandit. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. We have no foster homes with young children so aren’t comfortable placing any of them in a home with children less than 7 years of age. We try to respond to inquiries within 48 hours so if you haven’t heard from us within that time frame, please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there. Please visit our website at www.caninelifeline.org to see more photos of Bandit and to submit an online application.
