Kady is a 5-7 year old female Native Mau (Egyptian); Orange Tabby on White. Born on the streets of Cairo, Egypt, Kady had a rough start in life, filled with abuse of varying degrees; this left her with a strong distrust felt towards humans, which she has finally began to break away from. Luckily for her, she was able to be rescued and included on a flight to North America, though it was far from smooth sailing after that. Kady—along with her siblings and friend, Kojak—was placed with a rescuer in Connecticut, who turned into a hoarder and failed to provide her with the necessary care and attention she needed and deserved. Due to this, many of her cats were confiscated, which resulted in Kady being held within a kill shelter for approximately six months. Eventually, she found her way into the welcoming arms of Feline Solutions, where she continues to grow and learn that not all humans are bad. She is shy and a bit temperamental at times, but loves a good scratch between her shoulder blades. Although she has come a very long way, she still requires someone with a lot of time and patience that can give her all the love that she missed out on at the start of her life, as well as continue to improve her view on humans in general. She loves other cats, but we recommend that she not be allowed around young children due to her occasional mood swing—she loves scratches, but will not hesitate to give you a good swat once she has had enough.
