O~~~ O~~~ O~~~ Dina! Originally named Odina, we thought Dina fit her much better!
Dina is a 1-2 year old Husky/Spitz mix who came to us from a kill shelter in NC. This was Dina's second trip there. The first time she was picked up as a stray and adopted out by the shelter. Dina LOVES her food and treats but no one has ever worked with her on how to take a treat gently. She accidentally caught her senior adopter's finger when accepting a treat. Not due to being aggressive, but she was excited for a treat! She did not break the skin, but the adopter thought Dina was too much for them and returned her to the shelter. That's when The Last Resort came to the rescue! Literally.
Dina is a lovely girl. She loves to be with other dogs and we think her forever home should have a canine companion. She's doing better accepting treats gently but still scarfs down her food! Because of her overzealous love for grub, we think she'd do best in a home where there are no small children. She would definitely jump at a chance to snag a snack from a toddler.
Dina is healthy and weighs 47lbs. She has an all white, long double coat and her eyes are amber, but one is a parti-eye with blue. She has the most wonderful smile and would make a great companion in almost any situation.
Let's find her a great home!
Dina will remain in foster care in NC. She's able to be transported to MD or NJ to an approved adopter.
~~The Last Resort is a foster based rescue. Our dogs are in our foster homes all up and down the east coast. We do not have a facility in which you can visit. We find this a huge benefit because we learn our dogs and are able to educate our adopters on what it’s like to have them live in your home. Part of our process, once pre-approved, is to speak with the foster for the dog you’re interested in. If you’re still interested in adopting from our rescue the first step is to complete our adoption application online at www.thelastresortrescue.com/adoptionapplication.htm
