Adopt a Lhasa Apso

A SWEET FELLOW:  10.5 years old / Approx. 15 lbs.  Mostly Mutts adoption facility is open Mon-Sat. 11-4pm.  Some of us are in foster homes so please call 770-272-6888 1st to find out if I’m available to meet during the week.  I lost my home due to not being potty trained.  However, my family was gone for an 8-hour day, so that may have a little bit to do with it, but I’m not totally sure.  Please be prepared to work with me on this. My temporary foster mom says that I do well when I’m let out every few hours, and since I’m a senior dog, I may just need to “go” more often. I’ve been caught marking in the house, and again, I’ll need positive reinforcement and a consistent potty schedule to help me be successful.  I’m a good car rider, and I walk well on a leash and have good endurance, so I hope you’re ready to take me along for adventures! I also love running around a fenced-in yard and smelling all the good smells.  I barked in my crate in my temp foster home, so I may not do well in an apartment or condo.  I would do best with a stay at home/work from home person, since I need more potty breaks and love company. I like some dogs but I’m not playful just yet. I’d do best with other mellow senior dogs like me, so if you have one at home, let’s meet and see if we can be good friends.  I came in with my friend Phoebe, but we don’t have to be adopted together. I was friendly and politely interested in the MM shelter cat, so if you have a kitty at home, maybe we can become good buddies.  I’m laid back and sweet, I just need to get to know you a little before I’m completely comfortable.  I like being rubbed, held and enjoy lots of love!  I usually come when called too.  Come meet me and let’s see if we’re a great match!  A home with much older kids, like 15+ years-old, will be best for me as I’m an older guy and I act skittish around younger kids.  Energy level: 3-5.  I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped, neutered and my adoption fee is $275.00.
