Alfonso the Cat needs a home
Peek-a-boo, I see you! This is Alfonso who came to our Shelter with his mom Caprice and 5 other siblings. Wow, 6 kittens! Can you believe it? A basketball team plus 1! This little family was raised in a foster home with a lot of love and care. Momcat Caprice did a wonderful job raising her kittens, and now they're ready to take on the world. Born in April 2011, Alfonso is a black and white bicolor DSH male with a cute white stripe on his back that reminds his foster mom of a skunk. But don't let that sway your opinion of him. He's not a little stinker. He's a typical kitty, very playful, inquisitive, and happy-go-lucky. He's a little shy at first, but then his very sweet personality shines through. He gets along well with the other kitties in his foster home. Adopting a young adult is a 10-20 year commitment, is beneficial because their personalities are developed, and will provide many years of love, devotion, entertainment, and companionship. Alfonso's ideal human companions are those who crave the fun, energy, joy, and inquisitiveness of a young adult, and will happily include him in their daily activities. He'll do best in a quiet home (no small, active children) with another pet (hopefully with a fostermate) and older children to keep him company. With a loving family, he'll be a wonderful and constant companion for many years. Alfonso is neutered, fully vaccinated (FVRCP and rabies), tested negative for FeLV, dewormed, deflead, and microchipped for identification. He uses his litterbox and scratching post, and must be indoors-only. Please contact Alfonso's foster mom at [email protected] or call (408) 427-2949 (voicemail) for more information about adoption; messages returned within 24 hours.
