Ace the Dog needs a home
This special boy by the name of ACE has a very sad story but hoping he has a very happy ending in the near future. His owner is a drug addict that always tortured Ace in various ways since he was a pup, and he's now 8 yrs old. An acquaintance of the owner said these torture sessions were often video taped and shared on the owner's Facebook page. Because of the abuse Ace endured all these years, he is very cautious of all
people and has potential to bite when scared, startled or threatened. He will need a very patient and understanding person with no children that will give him all the time he needs to feel safe and make mistakes along the way, and be able to forgive him and continue trying.
His owner's home had partially burned down but continued to leave Ace there alone because he couldn't take him along wherever he stayed. Good Sam offered to temp foster Ace earlier this year (2017) until he got back on his feet but the owner ended up going to jail for several weeks, then never came back for Ace. Thankfully Good Sam was able to continue temp fostering him to keep him safe until a new home is found for him.
Ace is 8 yrs old, neutered, current on vaccinations, microchipped, approx 40 lbs, crate trained, great in the car and walking on a leash, good with other well mannered friendly dogs, and seems to be okay around cats. Ace is food aggressive so he must always be fed separately from other pets. It's unknown if Ace is housetrained because he is kenneled for many hours each day within Good Sam's home due to other dogs there that are not dog friendly and to keep him safe.
