Are you looking for a big, goofy pup to spend your time with? Peter Brady might not look it, but he is a Rottweiler x Hound mix who is just over 2 years old. He still has that puppy playfulness about him, just in the adult size! Petey is looking for a home that has experience with dogs, who will make the commitment to work on his training, and is comfortable handling large dogs. While Petey is mostly a happy, fun-loving boy, he sometimes can get easily overwhelmed and needs someone to help him work through it. Because of this we ask that Petey go to a home with older children that can easily follow and stick to any training exercises. He can also get a little rough when he plays, so a family who doesn’t mind his play-style and can work towards helping him with basic manners. Petey does awesome with other dogs of all sizes, as well as cats, and would prefer to go to a home with another confident dog or two that he can play with and will help him navigate our world. Things are much less scary with a buddy! Petey is crate-trained, but can easily get bored and will sing to entertain himself, so an active lifestyle is important to him. Petey comes with the training support of a local professional who will make sure you and your family are set up for success.
