DOG'S DESCRIPTION

This girl is as sweet as they come.  She is very friendly with people but can be selective when it comes to choosing her doggie friends. For this reason, she may be happiest as the only dog in your home. Delilah is very inquisitive and interested in all that's going on around her. She is on the higher energy side and would love to have an active family! So if you like to hike, run, or go on long walks, Delilah is your gal!

Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.           

Adoption fees cover basic vetting, spay/neuter surgery (for dogs over 6 months old), rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention and monthly flea/tick prevention (while the animal is in our care), and transport costs from high-kill shelter. Please note that on average, K-9 Lifesavers spend significantly more on each dog than their adoption fee. Adoption fee for HW positive dog also covers heartworm treatment at our partner vets.
