Domestic Short Hair Cat

Specter the Cat needs a home

Spunky, loving, friendly Oh boy, we thought, a foster cat named Specter. Time for a little James Bond 007 fun with that name. But it was not to be. Turns out our gorgeous orange, white and black tortoiseshell is an "er" Specter, not an evil "re" Spectre. She's also about as non-villainous as a cat can be, although she can be rather insistent when it comes to your lap and the amount of time she plans to spend in it. If snuggly and cuddly are on your feline qualities wish list, you'll find that Specter absolutely aces both, cuddling and snuggling far into the night. Next day, when she's feeling more active, a laser pointer becomes one of her favorite playmates, evading her most determined attempts to snag her quarry. Her scratching board, you'll be pleased to learn, is another particular favorite. Rolling balls, wiggly feather and such like are of spmewhat lesser interest. Specter seems to do well with other kitties (while being very possessive of her humans). She's not at all shy with visitors. And while kids and dogs are an unknown, her foster feels certain Specter would welcome them. Having grown up with many cats over the years, she also says that Specter is the cuddliest, most affectionate she's ever seen. With all that in mind, a family with more than one person for Spector to play and interact with would be ideal. Anyone come to mind? One final thing about Specter to be aware of is that she is FeLV+ (Feline Leukemia Virus), which causes a weakened immune system and requires special care. APA! provides some medical assistance after adoption. Cats with FeLV typically have a shortened lifespan. Specter is not contagious to people or dogs, but should live only with other FeLV+ cats. For more information, please contact APA! or read more by our Partner, Best Friends Animal Society: http://bit.ly/2FwYCxR All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team. For further information, or to meet Specter, please email [email protected].
