Adopt a Tabby (short coat)

Tabby (short coat) Cat

Carl the Cat needs a home

Carl is about 8yrs. old according to the vet. He is such a sweet and loving boy! He loves other cats and has been around dogs. Litter box trained. Carl saw our vet, sadly he is FIV positive. FIV cats can live very long happy lives! FIV is only transmitted through deep bite wounds. Carl is a very sweet and calm kitty. He is currently in a foster home with two other cats, whom he loves. Carl doesn't like his belly touched so due to this we think that a home with without small children would be best. Only applicants with consistent vet history will be considered since he has FIV. Carl's story is a sad one...He was dumped/abandoned at one of our volunteer's home with a note. He was in a trap in the cold placed by her car. We have no idea how long he was out there before our volunteer went to leave and noticed poor Carl.

To apply to adopt this pet please fill out a Preliminary Adoption Application at http://streetpaws.org/adoption-application/. This application does not commit you to an adoption. It is used to screen those interested to make sure the home is a good match for the pet. We verify vet history on current/previous pets to ensure pets have been spayed/neutered and vaccinated annually. Our adoption fee is $100 for all of our cats. They have been given age-appropriate vaccinations, are spayed/neutered, feline leukemia and feline aids tested, dewormed, have received flea prevention and micro-chipped.
