Ren the Dog needs a home
Big Hound Lovers....you dream dog has arrived. Ren is a large 2 year old hound mix who enjoys long walks, playing with toys, his humans and other dogs and snuggling. He is curious about cats and a little nervous with them, but is ok with some guidance. Ren is UTD on shots, flea/Tick/Heartworm meds, Neutered, crate trained, and chew trained (he knows he is only allowed to chew on toys).
Ren really loves his people once he gets to know them and trust them. This does not take long. He just needs a few minutes to smell you and get used to your presence. From then on, you have a best friend for life.
He has been through professional training with Tori Roser at Pawlished Dog Training. He walks perfectly in a heel, auto sits when stopped, knows down, and corrects easily when told no and redirected. Because of his nervousness around new people, his new family would need to meet with Tori prior to adoption so they will have the tools and knowledge to help Ren be the best he can be. You get two free sessions where you will work 1 on 1 with Tori directly where she will talk about Ren's quirks and review the training he has received.
Words cannot describe how sweet this big boy is. His ideal home would be a home with no kids due to his history of reactivity to new people and a calmer laid back medium to large dog (he has a tendency to be a bit rough with the smaller dogs as he sometimes forgets how big he is) that he can play with and learn from. He does tend to be a bit protective of his food, so he would need to be fed in a crate or separate area.
