Personality Type: Part-time Lover: wants to be in the same room but gimme some space! Voyeur - watches from afar. Loves you? Loves you not?
Description: Project Mama did not have the best start- found living in a bush with her 7 kittens. Neighbors reported that she had had several litters that were rescued, but this sweet gal was left on the streets. We immediately saw that she was friendly despite negative interactions with humans in the past. Turns out- Project Mama loves love! We've been working with her to regain her trust in humans & she is anxious to receive pets if you let her come to you. She also loves to play with dangling stick toys! A calm, quiet household with lots of patience & love would be the best suited. She is not aggressive to humans in any way & living with a calm child could work. Project Mama hasn't responded well to other cats- she has tolerated our small dog. Hoping someone will give her a chance at a new life (it wouldn't hurt to spoil her too)!


Project Mama is spayed, FeLV and FIV negative, current on shots, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped and is litter box trained.


Adoption fee: $65.00


Single kittens must be adopted with another cat/kitten or into a home that has a playful cat or dog for company.

PAWS pulls at-risk animals from the City of Philadelphia's animal control shelter and adopts them out from several locations: our Old City adoption center (2nd and Arch Streets), our Northeast Adoption Center (1810 Grant Avenue); our Wellness Clinic at 2900 Grays Ferry Avenue; our adoption locations at the South Philly and Cottman Avenue PetSmart stores; and, our network of foster homes.

Adoption fees include age-appropriate vaccinations, spaying/neutering, and microchipping. No animals may be adopted without being spayed or neutered. Adoption fees are as follows, plus tax: $150 for large adult dogs (older than 1 year); $250 for small dogs (under 25 lbs) and all puppies (under 1 year); $60 for adult cats (over 6 months of age), and $100 for kittens (under 6 months of age). When you adopt a pair of kittens together, the total adoption fee is $150.
