Domestic Short Hair (short coat) Cat

Marki the Talker the Cat needs a home

Is your house too quiet? Do you need a feline conversationalist? Then look no further than Marki. Once you bring her home, you'll never be in want of someone to talk with. She loves to call her humans from the far corners of the house, then race to them when they reply, and flop down in front of them to get their attention, just in case they missed her vocalizations. What an absolute hoot she is! Marki came to our Shelter as a single prewean kitten, and was placed with a momcat and her litter for some feline attention and interaction. The little consolidated family moved to a foster home where they got a lot of good care and lovin'. The momcat and her last kitten were recently adopted together, so Marki became a single kitten again. Her foster mom put her with the other fosters in the home, and now Marki's personality is really blossoming. She's quite playful, interacts well with her fostermates (although she can be a bit bossy at times), and is really becoming the playful kitten that she wants to be. Her entertainment value is very high, so be prepared for a lot of feline antics to keep you laughing. Adopting a kitten is a 10-20 year commitment, is beneficial because they readily adapt to their new home and family, and will provide many years of love, devotion, entertainment, and companionship. Marki's ideal human companions are those who crave the fun, energy, joy, and inquisitiveness of a kitten, and will happily include her in their daily activities. She'll do best in an active home with another pet (hopefully with one of her fostermates) to keep her company. With a loving family, she'll be a wonderful and constant companion for many years. Born in August 2012, Marki is a black DSH female with ghost tabby markings (she has the classic tabby bullseyes on her sides that you can see in the right light), is dewormed, deflead, fully vaccinated (FVRCP and rabies), tested negative for FeLV, spayed, and microchipped for identification. She uses the litterbox and scratching post, and must be indoors-only. Please contact Marki's foster mom at [email protected] or call (408) 681-3788 (voicemail) for more information about adoption; messages returned within 24 hours.
