Sofia the Cat needs a home
Sofia is ready for her forever home! Sofia is a sweet young cat who is looking for a quiet and safe home to settle into. Sofia originally came to Cat Care Society after she was left abandoned in an apartment building. She was only about 9 months old, and very nervous. She was adopted quickly and went to a home a nice human. About 7 months after being adopted her new human called, saying that Sofia was having behavioral issues, and was becoming aggressive. She worked extensively with CCS, her veterinarian, and an animal communicator, but Sofia couldn’t adjust. Working with Sofia she needs a household that is quiet, has very little stress, and doesn’t have any strong odors. She is exceptionally sensitive to smells and loud noises, and absolutely hates yelling. She is also very empathetic to her human, so if her human is stressed or upset, Sofia becomes anxious and reactive. Sofia would do well as an only cat, with a single person or a couple with no children. The home she goes to will need to be non-smoking, with no strong perfumes or scented litter. She would do really well with a nice, quiet, couple (or single) who like to give lots of love and head scratches. Once she has found a human she likes, she gets very attached, and she will make a wonderful companion.
Anyone interested in Sofia will need to visit two to three times, and will need to be able to pet and interact with multiple times before we will allow her to be adopted. Her adoption will need to be approved by our Shelter Manager, as well as our adoption staff.
