Adopt a American Eskimo Dog (long coat)

American Eskimo Dog (long coat) Dog

Shiya the Dog needs a home

Meet Shiya which means snow at dawn.  This little fluff ball is lots of fun!  She loves playing in the snow and with that thick coast stays nice and warm in the coldest of weather.  Those dark eyes of hers really show her personality and she always seems to be smiling.  She has a little bit of a crooked front tooth that sticks out and I think is adorable.  Shiya will cuddle but also is fine hanging out on the kitchen floor by herself.  She is a chewer and likes her elk antlers but also has squeaky toys that don't get destroyed.  She is crate trained but does fine left out alone.  She can be a little rascal and steals things (particulary hand towels or socks) and doesn't want to give them back!  I bet she thinks it's a game when I chase after her.  She is doing well fitting in with my two 3 yr old male dogs and think with the proper introduction could do well with most dogs, however I'm not sure about all other female dogs.  Shiya is wary of new people, and will bark and possibly nip until she feels comfortable with them.  She is a bit mouthy (grabbing at my hands) when playing, which we are trying to work on.  Energy level is moderate, but likes to stay busy and go outside at every opportunity.

Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to  Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The adopter's information is added once the adoption is complete.
