Adopt a Siberian Husky (medium coat)

Looky what we have here! A cat friendly Husky! What?! 

Yes, you heard correctly. Our Riley guy lives harmoniously with the cats in his foster home. Make no mistake, he'll give chase to any critters outside, cats included. But inside, he's a perfect gentleman. Riley is a 1 year old Siberian Husky. He was a stray in a high kill shelter in GA right before Christmas. The shelter wasn't going to be open for the holidays and was euthanizing. We couldn't let that happen to Riley! He was so somber at the shelter but has surely come to life in his foster home. He loves to play! With people, dogs and toys. He needs a home with other dogs who like to play and won't be worn out by a young Sibe. He has your typical Husky-tude and needs someone who understands the breed. So if you haven't had a Husky before, do your research! Riley is smart and needs his human to take the lead and offer him guidance. He is crate trained (needs some coaxing) and potty trained. He is typical Husky stubborn so needs a creative owner to motivate him. Riley needs a fenced yard to play in and likes to talk Husky, so no apartments please.

Riley is neutered, current on vaccines and currently undergoing heartworm treatment. He will be available for adoption through at the end of March, but we're currently accepting applications now. We are able to transport Riley to MD or NJ for adoption. He is in foster care in GA.  Riley is such a silly, happy guy. Everyone needs a Sibe smile a day!

We find this a huge benefit because we learn our dogs and are able to educate our adopters on what it’s like to have them live in your home.
