~~Hi, Everybody! I'm Vashti! My owner died unexpectedly and his family could not keep me so I ended up in a shelter until the nice people from SGSR let me come stay with them. I'm 11 years old and a petite 35 pounds. I can't believe I'm this old either! Who knew I'd be in this position of trying to find a new forever home so late in my life?! I thought I'd spend forever with my dad but sadly, it wasn't so. In my perfect world, I'd be able to sleep for as long as I want, be taken outside regularly to potty, lay on the couch next to my people, enjoy an orthopedic bed, live in a house with minimal stairs (and certainly no stairs between the main house and my bed) and have a family that will give me Dasuquin on the daily and treats ;) Although I am a spry senior gal, I do have diminished vision, not amazing hearing and am weak on my hind end. Did I tell you that aging sucks?! I also have to tell you that I will let you know that I need to go outside to do my business by pacing back and forth so please make a note of it. You might just want to let me out on the regular just to be safe, though. I know I'm asking a lot, but I have had many years to develop into the sweet old lady that I have become. I love my people and don't care too much (one way or another) about other dogs or cats.
